Overall Goals
Providing a safe, loving, trusting environment in which children can learn from exploration and developing their own sense of autonomy.
Caregivers will provide play centers that interest the children and develop their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical skills. Children will choose centers on their own, which will help develop their decision-making skills. Activities will be provided that challange the children and a adequate amount of time will be offered during the day to complete the activities. Children will not be rushed or pressured into completing any activities or play oriented tasks.
Children learn and develop at their own level and make their own choices in whatever interests them. The Center's play oriented curriculum allows the child to learn through their play and to also feel comfortable when engaging in play oriented activities. read more
Overall Goals
Provide developmentally appropriate activities; crafts and games which challenge the children and interest them. Opportunities will be provided to develop friendships and teamwork approaches to solving problems. Caregivers wiil provide a comfortable, relaxing environment for school age children with plenty of independent decision making.
Children are offered choices in choosing activities that interests them or if children wish to relax after a long day at school, centers will provide for homework and relaxation.
Allowing children to solve their own conflicts and use positive words with some guidance from the teacher if needed will help develop problem solving skills. We create an environment in which school age children will enjoy fostering teamwork and helping one another. Having someone there to confide in for guidance, and love with an opportunity to express themselves to someone who understands them is one of the most important goals of our center. School can be stressing and communicating problems to friends and caregivers can make a difference in a child's life. Children should be able to express their emotions and enjoy being children. read more
